Windstorm

We have had a really strong windstorm that has lasted a couple of days (and is still blowing). The plants that we planted on the roof never grew so we have bare soil on the roof. The wind has blown a lot of the soil off the roof. It is all over the driveway, the Geo and the patio.




We were able to sweep up eight buckets and a wheel barrow full of soil. I hope the wind stops blowing soon and we are able to get some ground cover on the roof to grow.

New Family Member

His name is Stinker.

Kylee is very, very good at breaking me down. She will one day be in management due to her persuading abilities. Kylee has be asking and asking for a hamster, and she finally got one. It is her 10th birthday next week and she will be with her dad so we got her a hamster for her birthday this week. Lucky girl! She loves him.

Yard Work

We had one sunny, warm day so we worked in the yard. Lance has officially become an old man and enjoys puttering in the yard. We found a few rocks in our yard and lined the driveway with them. The water should run down the driveway and into the rocks and eventually end up in the gully.

Weekend Projects

All of the window treatments are up in the house. We have lived here for a while and it hasn't made it to the top of the list until now. The kitchen has new blinds and the big windows have curtains.

The curtains above the front door were a challenge to hang. We had a couple of ladders tangled together and a board laid across the ladder and the railing to create a way to access the window. Lance tied off to the trusses to make me feel better.


The gym has new curtains! Yeah for privacy.

Pretty new trim in the gym. This took a lot longer than I thought it should. Waiting for paint and Spackle to dry takes forever.

Our Cold Trip to Moab

Lance and I went to Moab while Kylee was in Belize. We were hoping for warmer weather than Logan but it ended up being just as cold. We did go on a few hikes in the snow and it was fun. We did some of the same hikes that we have done in the past with the snow everything looked so different.

Lance, Gabe and I (Lance is taking the picture) were the first one's to blaze the trail. We stayed on the trail most of the time. In places the snow was up over my knees.

Lance and I went up Negro Bill Canyon, it was pretty.


I wish that I were somewhere warm.

Kylee's Trip to Belize

These are Kylee's pictures that she took in Belize. She had a great time and had many new adventures. She learned how to snorkel and looks super cute in her gear!

Kylee had a leisure breakfast on the beach.

Kylee swam in the river near a waterfall.

She was covered with iguanas and loved it.

She saw monkeys and Mayan ruins. Kylee had more adventures but you will have to ask her all about them.

Christmas 2010

Lance and Kylee worked to fix up his dad's bike for Christmas. I was really surprised at how well Kylee did at putting on new parts. She is much better at building bikes than I am.

Our cat pretty loves to be under the tree. She will hang out there for hours it is pretty funny.

We had breakfast at our house Christmas morning. Lance slaved away and made a great breakfast for both of our families.
