Garage Pour

We poured a section of the garage this past weekend. It went really well.

We used the skid steer to hold the weight of the hose and Lance (he is pretty heavy).

I drove the skid steer. Lucky me!

Results

We had a doorway and windows complete on the first floor! It is awesome to see the progress!

Getting Ready and The Second Pour

Lance is putting on the finishing touches. The pour went well.
I am excited to see how it turned out.

Bruce is holding the end of the hose pumping the concrete into the panels.

Mostly ready for the pour. We still needed to do some last minute things.

The house is all ready with foam insulation the next step are the wood panels.

Lucky Girl

How many girls get to play in the sprinkler inside the house? She had a blast.

We poured the floor of the house. Exciting!

Radiant Heat

We laid a lot of tubing! I bet the house will be warm!

We tied the tubing for the radiant heat to the mesh.

On top of the gravel Bruce laid foam and steel mesh.

The First Section Of Wall Complete!

This is the wall of the house inside and out! Thank you Drew and Roper for helping!



We waited a day for the concrete to set and then we peeled the forms. Kylee was really helpful she worked all day long.

Drew and Lance held the hose and directed the concrete. The hose was pretty heavy full of all of the mud.

We pumped the concrete into the forms through a little pump truck.

This Weeks Progress

While we were busy working Kylee made mud pies. I think they are her new favorite treat.




We then put the forms together. We lined up conduit and all thread and tightened eight brackets onto each sheet of plywood. We are almost ready to pour the first section of the house wall.



This week was a lot of work getting the walls formed and ready to pour. Bruce put in all of the foam insulation in between the rebar.
