Kids and Concrete

No house would be complete without hand prints in the concrete. Kylee, Grace and Bruce left their marks.

Small Wall

The small wall in place!
The form goes all the way back to the end of the garage. It seems so small out on the lot but in the garage it is really big.
This is the actual form for the small wall.
Each piece of conduit needed to be wrapped in plastic wrap so that we will be able to pull them out of the concrete. There will be about 800 in the whole house.

Lance and Bruce drilled all of the holes in the forms.

It rained one day but that didn't slow us down we just moved into the garage and built the forms for the small wall. This is the wall that will bring the garage footings up to the same level as the house. It is the smallest wall in the house.

More Digging

While I was working on the rebar Lance was digging trenches for the water, electrical and sewer. I am sure glad that he is strong.

Rebar Station

We did a few different projects this past weekend. I tied a lot of rebar. I think there is a whole lot more to come. We did finish off all of the J bars and that was exciting.

Over the Weekend

It is a lot of work getting the ground level and ready for footings. We spent all weekend moving rocks and shoveling dirt. (Look NATE is WORKING!)
